Thanks to the generosity of local citizens, the Ripley County Community Foundation was able to raise over $90,000 for the future sustainability of local nonprofit organizations. All donations received were eligible for a 50% match provided by the Community Foundation.
The Ripley County Humane Society received two full-carloads of pet supplies! Youth Move Southeast spent a portion of their day transporting the donated pet supplies from the Foundation to the Humane Society. All donors who brought supplies to benefit the Humane Society were qualified for an entry into a $1,000 drawing for the charity of their choice. This year's winner was Wanda Vogt who donated the grant money to Twice Blessed!
The Ripley County Community Foundation greatly appreciates the unconditional support and generosity from local citizens of Ripley County. Thanks to you, we can continue, "Connecting People Who Care with Causes That Matter."

There's a New Place to Explore if You Love the Outdoors
There's a new place for you to explore and hike in Ripley County! The Versailles State Park held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, November 9th, to celebrate the opening of the Bradt Natural Area.
In 1987, Hale Bradt inherited the 80 acre farm from his grandfather, which he later deeded to the Versailles State Park. The money given from the park was invested into an endowed fund at the Ripley County Community Foundation. The Bradt (F. Hale & Elizabeth Peak) Family Memorial Endowment Fund benefits the media center (CNNSR) at the South Ripley High School. Years later, Hale Bradt created a second endowment fund, the Bradt Natural Area Fund, to assist with the development and maintenance of the land. The Bradt Family wants the natural area to serve as an educational resource to local citizens so that they can have the opportunity to experience natural Indiana landscape.
