Our Vision: Inspiring and Uplifting
Every One of Us to Transform the World!

From the Board: Happy, Love, Peace

Jim Schink, Board of Trustees

What a couple of months we've had! My head is still spinning and my heart is still aching from the double-wide void left by Jyoti and Mary's retirement and move. And yet, life goes on and so must we. I am very excited for the future of CSLBV. We are exceedingly blessed to have Rev. Lea on hand to step into the leadership role. I am impressed in her enthusiasm and dedication to lead and grow this center. Continue reading Jim's article.

Winning Your Life's Gold Medals

Thursday, November 21
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Center for Spiritual Living Boulder Valley

How would you like to win the gold medal in every game you play in life? It’s not impossible! In this inspirational presentation, World Champion tennis player and life coach Bob Litwin will show how the mental aspects of optimal sports competition morph into profound spiritual principles with a small shift in perception. The most basic principle is one taught in various forms throughout the millennia and in our Center: pay close attention to your thinking, and change your old counterproductive stories to new stories of yes, can do, will win that reflect new goals. Bob provide practical implementation tips and uplifting stories from his best-selling book, Live the Best Story of Your Life. A World Champion's Guide to Lasting Change.

November Outreach

Boulder Safehouse

Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence is a human rights organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children through support, advocacy, education and community organizing. SPAN began providing services in 1979 and is crucial to the network of support that offers critical “safety net” services to vulnerable, low-income and at-risk populations.

CSLBV supports Safehouse every year, and this year they are looking for the following items:
Ready-Made Pie Crusts (6 needed)
Pecans
Corn Syrup
Brown Sugar
Cherry Pie Filling
Marshmallows
Cornbread Mix
Molasses
A dozen canned goods such as the following:
- Cream of Mushroom Soup
- Canned Cranberries
- Canned Pumpkin
- Chicken Stock
Various herbs (see full list on flyer)
20 lbs of potatoes, yams, and squash
35-40 lb turkey

Food donations will be collected through November 24th. If you would like to donate money, please add it to the Loaves and Fishes container in the lobby or write on an envelope "Thanksgiving Food Drive." We will use the money to purchase anything else that is needed. Thank you in advance for your generosity; it is sorely needed.

Save the Date!

Join us for an hour of mindfulness paired with moments of peaceful contemplation. In this sanctuary of sound, the meditation focus will be on quieting the mind and deepening in the heart. We will use ritual, intention, contemplation and sound vibration to release tension and stress related to holiday preparation, celebrations, and the general hustle and bustle of the season.

Please dress comfortably, bring a pillow or blanket for comfort in sitting or lying down, and arrive a few minutes early to get settled. Love Offering suggestion $10.
