Drama Club Update of November 18, 2019 
Dear Families of Drama Club Members,
Wonderful news! Two of our generous school families have offered to sponsor our play, The Littlest Angel. What this means is that parents will not have to pay for the angel robes for the play. If parents who have already paid for their children’s angel robe would like to be reimbursed, please let Mrs. Hammang know. On the other hand, if parents have not already placed an order for an angel robe, please check the sizing chart on the Oriental Trading website for choir robes, and let Mrs. Hammang know the sizes, and the robes will be ordered for you. All orders for robes must be received no later than Wednesday, November 20, when a group order will be placed right after our meeting. Don’t forget that the children must also have angel wings and a halo. To help convey the idea of the individuality of each angel, the wings and halo do not have to be group ordered. A very helpful video can be viewed which uses poster board and coffee filters to make a rather attractive set of wings. The URL is https://sayyes.com/2016/10/diy-angel-wings. Christmas tree garland can be used for halos.
This Week’s Meetings and Future Meetings
Thanks to the two half days of school this past week, our cast was able to practice the entire play. The children were very cooperative and followed directions well. Still, much work still needs to be done. All cast members must have lines memorized and be “off book” by this coming Wednesday, November 20. Many children are still very shaky in delivering their lines, knowing the blocking, and coming in on time. All the actors also need to practice with the props and stage sets. As a result, as announced earlier, additional practice time has now been scheduled. On Tuesday, December 3, and on Thursday, December 5, Drama Club will meet from 3:10 to 5:10 pm. Drama Club will not meet next Wednesday, November, 27, due to the Thanksgiving holiday for the school children, however, another two hour practice is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, the day before the play. This day is our dress rehearsal, and all students should bring their costumes to school on that day. Below is a summarized scheduled of our upcoming Drama Club practices.

Drama Club Star Students
Last week 4 students were honored for their outstanding behavior and mastery of their parts during the play: Violet Peters, Olin Moyle, Lexi Keith, and Carter Kwaske. Please continue to pray for Jaxon Hudson who has now been released from the hospital, but still faces challenges in his recovery.
