November Newsletter

Welcome to the November Newsletter of Berwick Smile Dental Care. Our second last newsletter of 2019?! How did that happen? This month has seen us reflect on 3 years ago when Indra travelled to Greece, providing humanitarian aid. A lot of change has happened since and Indra's blog shows us how life as a mum of 3, as well as practice owner, principal dentist. cosmetic dentist and facial aesthetic expert, requires massive commitment! Read on to find out what else has been happening at Berwick Smile.

Patient Stories
Paula was referred to us from her current dentist for implant treatment. It was always a joy to see Paula return throughout her journey and we wish her the best of luck for the future!
What's on?
"This year promises to be the biggest and best yet with 100 stalls selling local produce, delicious food and inspiring Christmas gifts.
Santa has confirmed he will be in attendance and will be arriving at 10.45 and will be in his grotto waiting to meet all the little children.
Music will be provided throughout the day including the Salvation Army Brass Band and Roger West
Entry is free to the market."

Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes circumstances arise that prevent patients from keeping appointments. It happens to the best of us! In the future, if you find it impossible to keep an appointment, please give us a call 24 hours in advance, or e-mail us at admin@berwicksmile.co.uk. A charge will now incur for missed or short notice cancellations at a fee of at least £1 per minute of your original appointment. This is obviously at the discretion of our reception team.
With this prior notice, we can reschedule your appointment and let another patient have the appointment time originally reserved for you. We request this courtesy, because it allows us to see our patients promptly. It also helps us to provide more affordable dental care for all of our patients by keeping our overhead costs down. We appreciate your cooperation and courtesy to Berwick Smile Dental Care
Goodbye David
On the 18th November, we said goodbye to our locum dentist David, who was helping cover part of Indra’s maternity leave. We all wish David the best of luck with his future endeavours!
World Kindness Day
On 13th November we celebrated World Kindness Day again. We handed out some lovely flowers to some lovely ladies! Let's make kindness the norm!

About Registrations, Obligations and our Baby on Tour.
"While I listened to the newest advances and tips and tricks of the famous dental goeroes, Alison and my little boy went out and discovered London; from the Natural History museum to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. They had a blast."

World Cancer Month
"Up to 90% of all mouth cancers are linked to lifestyle factors.
This means that with a few small changes, you can help cut your chances of developing mouth cancer.
If you do not stop or reduce the things that might put you at greater risk, it is important that you do self-checks at home and regularly visit your dentist. If any or most of these apply to you, it does not mean that you are certain to develop mouth cancer".
Have a read through the risk factors and see if you can make any lifestyle changes now.
Three year throwback!
In November 2016, our dentist Indra travelled to Thessaloniki to help and provide humanitarian aid in the refugee camps. A different and scarier place, but a very worth while cause and we are very proud of Indra being able to offer this to the Syrian Refugees.
