As a friend of the Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust, you share our belief that wilderness in our region is precious and that its protection is essential.  Thanks to your help, our eight properties are thriving.

This year, your support has helped our volunteer property managers and their teams maintain the properties, groom trails and diligently monitor habitat health.  More Blanding Turtles than ever were seen nesting on four properties, dozens of species of lichen were identified at cliffLAND, and Sandhill Cranes were spotted at the Keddy Nature Sanctuary for the first time.  Three of the properties were sites for entomological and botanical studies by several federal agencies, universities, and non-governmental groups.

2020 brings new opportunities; we are currently considering four new properties for protection. Each year we must raise funds to ensure we have the financial means to complete the many tasks associated with sustaining a Land Trust and meeting the goals we set.
