November Stuff

It's been a busy month already but I'm getting through it.

World Fantasy in Los Angeles was fun, even if I did ditch the convention several times to go out and meet local folks. Come to think of it, I did much the same thing at OryCon this year because there was so much going on that weekend. At least the Pacific Northwest SFWA Readings were relatively straightforward, and in Portland we also got Ken Scholes to come out and say a few words about his late friend, John Pitts, who helped organize the Kirkland events.

Still to do: finish NaNoWriMo, and one more author event (see below)...

New Fic

Good news, Kangaroo fans! You can now read an original K-verse* story, "Fire in the Pocket," in this new space opera anthology:

Here's a quick preview (with bonus autograph). Page 212!

Did you know that I have a Patreon where you can support me with a monthly pledge? Every little bit helps keep my creative work going, and I'm super grateful to all my current patrons.

I've recently renovated my monthly reward offerings--which now include original content based on community-submitted writing prompts--and posted a "remastered" set of last summer's Kangaroo-themed Puzzled Pint set. Check it out!

What's Next?

My final planned appearance of 2019 is this Saturday night at Daedalus Books in NW Portland, where I'll be reading along with these other local authors:

But fear not, I'm back on the road in 2020. Mostly on the west coast so far, but you never know... Visit curtiscchen.com/events for the latest info, always.

Last but Not Least...

JUST LOOK AT THESE CATS.
