Addressing Nepal’s veterinary needs, one village at a time

In Nepal, GALVmed is working with Hester Biosciences to develop sustainable distribution centers for veterinary products to smallholder farmers. As the project ramps up, we meet some of the key players in the project and talk to them about their challenges with livestock disease control and their hopes for the project.

Smallholder farmers: 'We need a game changer in the fight against Foot and Mouth Disease'

Recent outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease in parts of Kenya has left smallholder farmers, especially those in the dairy sector with huge losses and many are now expressing the need for more vaccine options so that they are able to purchase the vaccine and actively prevent rather than treat the disease.
