Andrew Ryan wore his baseball cap backwards the other night at Drifters, his restaurant in Burlington's Old North End. Dave's Corner 💭
I've had so many poor experiences with UPS that I now always prefer the postal service or FedEx. It's not the individual drivers, or the individual employees; but something about how UPS is structured leaves their care about customer service on individual packages to a minimum. And this has not just been true for me in Burlington. I was equally upset by UPS in New York City. UPS, are you listening? It feels like you don't really care about anyone but the Amazons of the world. I guess they're the ones paying your bills...

- On street parking violations
Since the snow arrived last week, cars have been parking beyond the setbacks on the corner of North Willard and Brookes Avenue. I think there might be a “no parking from here to corner” sign missing on the south side of the Brookes/North Willard intersection. It is difficult to pull out onto North Willard from Brookes Avenue when conditions are good and the setbacks are being honored and now with snow, ice and cars not honoring the setbacks it is dangerous. There will be an accident at this location if this continues. I see near misses every week.

Random Burlingtonian Quote of the Day 📝
The artist in realizing his own individuality reveals potentialities hitherto unrealized. The revelation is the inspiration of other individuals to make the potentialities real, for it is not sheer revolt against things as they are which stirs human endeavor to its depth, but vision of what might be and is not. Subordination of the artists to any special cause no matter how worthy does violence not only to the artist but to the living source of a new and better future.
—John Dewey
