Reminder: New Land Title Forms

New forms must be used for filings after November 15, 2019

Significant amendments to the Land Title Act came into effect on November 15, 2019. As a result, new land title forms have been published and must be used for any new filings. Previous versions of forms will only be accepted if they were executed or e-signed before November 15, 2019.

New E-filing Directions from the Director of Land Titles reflect amendments to Part 10.1 of the Land Title Act and replace the previous Directors Requirements related to e-filing. A summary of the changes due to Part 10.1 amendments is available for review.

Parallel amendments to Part 7.2 of the Land Act affect select Surveyor General forms.

New Web Filing Webinars

Web Filing webinars now open for registration

Web Filing is an update to the LTSA's electronic filing system that will be introduced in early 2020. Web Filing forms are prepared online and eliminate the need for offline PDF form templates.

In a Web Filing webinar, you will learn how to:
  • Know the difference between a Web Filing form and a PDF form template
  • Set up your Juricert certificate in myLTSA
  • Set up your Property Transfer Tax payment authorization
  • Create a Web Filing package and add applications
  • Submit an application to the Land Title Office
The Web Filing live webinars will include a demonstration of Web Filing forms, and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about Web Filing.

Changes to LTSA Phone Menu

Updates effective December 6, 2019

The LTSA is updating its phone menu effective December 6, 2019. The phone menu will be simplified from six options to three, as outlined below:
  1. General inquiries
  2. Business professionals calling about policy and practice support, defect notices, survey plans or Crown grants
  3. Technical support
We are making these changes in response to customers’ desire to connect with a service representative faster and easier. Customer support hours will remain unchanged.
