Worship this Sunday

This Sunday is a celebration of gratitude as we
COUNT OUR BLESSINGS!
This PoP-uP service will feature songs from the archives of our denomination as well as contemporary expressions of thankfulness.
The band and choir present "Acclamation" from Robert Ray's Gospel Mass.
We will sing, pray and talk with one another. We'll experience beauty, kindness, and love. We'll remind ourselves and each other of the many ways we are blessed by
Creator, Christ and Holy Companion.

Stewardship Update

Friends, what a generous week this has been!
As a community, we made a significant impact on our shortfall, and we continue toward the goal.
If anyone has heard angel voices whispering words of pledging into your ears....and simply have not gotten around to letting our financial planners know....please do.
It is time to move into our plans and projects and invest in the exciting year ahead.
YOU ARE AMAZING: GENEROUS, OPEN HEARTED PEOPLE.
Great work, all!

Church & Society Meeting this Sunday, 11/24
Heads up to Adult Learners: Time adjustment

The PPUMC Church and Society team will gather this Sunday, November 24 from 12-2 pm to create a 2020 action plan for our work around Climate Justice, Racial Reconciliation, Queer Inclusion, Nonviolence and more.
All are welcome.
NOTE:
Adult learners, we will plan to begin our reading of "The Laramie Project" by 11:15. In that way, by each group adjusting slightly, those who wish to be part of both groups will be able to do so.

Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at St. Frances Cabrini Church - Tuesday, 11/26, 7 pm

Tis a Gift to be Grateful: A Celebration of Connection Across Faith Tradition
We will feast on gratitude, giving thanks with several other congregations – St. Frances Cabrini, Faith Mennonite, Dignity, Compassion of Christ and Gichitwaa Kateri – who we as a congregation see in this combination primarily at this time of year. Please join in this service of Thanksgiving.

A drop-in choir sings "Simple Gifts" with a single rehearsal at 6:15. All are welcome to show up and SING! Dave Nyberg and Frank Trnka shepherd this annual massed choir sing.

Refreshments & conversation follow. (Please bring something to share, if you like. Our assignment is savories - like vegetables, cheese and crackers.)

St. Frances Cabrini is located at 1500 Franklin Ave. SE.
Parking in the lot and on the street.

Opening Advent: An Evening Service in the style of Taizé - Thursday, Dec. 5

On Thursday evening, December 5 at 7 pm, we will have a service of simple music and silent contemplation in our sanctuary. This time of quiet centering is a lovely opening to the season of solstice and Incarnation. Please consider joining this small and welcoming circle of people from several faith communities as we take a quiet, candle lit hour to begin to "sing the season."

The people of PPUMC stand with the Minnesota Conference in rejecting the

Traditional Plan approved at General Conference 2019 as inconsistent

with the gospel message and will resist its implementation.

We remain committed to full inclusion.

LOVE GROWS HERE.
