Greetings,
Happy Thanksgiving eve! As I count my blessings this season, I am so thankful to be able to work with all of you as we continue to grow the mission of PACS! I have been here a little over a week and can see why people have fallen in love with this place.
I encourage you to come visit PACS, if you haven't, to see how your support blesses so many people. If you are far away, don't worry, you can keep up with us on social media. We are active on Facebook (/pacsonline) and Instagram (@pacspdx) with photos and stories of how people have been blessed and a behind the scenes look at what happens every day. God is at work in this place and you don't want to miss it.

"Have you been praying about this?" A story from Carol James, Dental Clinic Manager
There are so many stories already happening at Gateway Grace Clinic of God stepping in at just the right moment. I would like to share a recent story regarding a hygienist tool that we didn’t have. . .
When we opened the Dental Clinic back in September we had a dentist and his wife who is a hygienist seeing our first couple of patients. After a month, God called them to move to Idaho and took all their dental equipment with them.
A couple of weeks later, a new dental hygienist volunteer (person who cleans your teeth) called to offer her services. Even though this was an exciting moment to have we had one small barrier to figure out before she came. . . a prophy angle (see photo). A prophy angle is a small hand piece that is used to polish your teeth at the end of your cleaning.
I immediately called our Dental Clinical Director, Dr. Stafford, to inform him on our small issue. Then I started to pray, “Heavenly Father, if you want us to see patients with this hygienist you will just have to find us what we need.” About an hour later Dr. Stafford called back saying, “Have you been praying about this?” I said, “Yes!” Then Dr. Stafford told me, “I have a temporary hygienist in my dental office today and I was explaining to her about our prophy angle issue. She happened to tell me that she had a spare in her car trunk. She would be happy to lend it to us until we can get our own!” I was so ecstatic and also thought, “Wow, thank you God for hearing our prayers and having this hygienist have a spare in her car trunk for so long.”
The story does not end there. . . a couple days after this praise we had two A-dec representatives come tour the clinic. (A-dec is the largest dental equipment manufacturer that gifted our Dental Clinic all our dental chairs and cabinets.) As I was giving the tour, the story of the prophy angle came up. One of the A-dec representative said that he had one back in his office and will send it to us for FREE! (Side note: this saved us about $1,500)
Now we have our own prophy angle for our hygienist to use! God has been so faithful to us here and we know without a doubt the He is protecting and guiding us!

1,900 lbs were donated this past Saturday at the Celebration of Thanksgiving Concert A concert with Matt Maher benefiting PACS and the Portland Rescue Mission
Once again the Celebration of Thanksgiving Concert was amazing! We hope you enjoyed it! We want to especially thank YOU for your donations of non-perishable food for our Food Pantry and socks supporting Portland Rescue Mission. The donated food will help many families this holiday season! Thank you for supporting us! This annual concert to our community was provided by Adventist Health Portland!
Thank you all again for providing 1,900 pounds!

Help Us Color in the Truck! Raising funds to purchase a pickup to pull the Mobile Pantry
The PACS Mobile Food Pantry needs you! The mobile pantry has been going out to eight locations for the past few years helping reduce travel burden for low-income families and individuals who are already strapped for time and money. The current vehicle that is pulling the Mobile Pantry is not adequate for the load. We are in desperate need of a pick up that can pull the trailer to each location. Our goal is to raise $40,000!
