Sleep Walk

For Shelter

Homelessness is currently a huge issue in Edinburgh and the cold weather at present only makes it worse for those who are currently living on the streets.  Shelter Scotland are showing their support for people without a home with their 'Sleep Walk for Shelter' campaign.

On Wednesday 11th December 2019, ETF representatives will join Shelter Scotland and other organisations from across Edinburgh for the 'Sleep Walk for Shelter'.  The meeting place is Shelter Scotland Edinburgh Hub, 6 South Charlotte Street at 5.30pm with the march due to begin at 6.00pm and finish at the Scottish Parliament around 7.30pm.

You can sign up to the walk by clicking here or email Georgia Ramplin by clicking here.  If you would like to join ETF representatives at the march, please email ETF's Development Worker Mark Henry by clicking here or phone 0131 475 2509 by Thursday 5th December 2019.

City of Edinburgh Council Draft Tenant Participation Strategy

Your chance to make a difference

Would you like to contribute to the City of Edinburgh Council's (CEC's) draft Tenant Participation Strategy?  The final stage in CEC's consultation process is currently taking place and tenants can have their say in a number of ways: Through the draft Tenant Participation Strategy, CEC wants to ensure that tenants really:
  • Know the different ways they can become involved;
  • Can take part and help influence decisions if they want to;
  • Have the support and resources they need to take part;
  • Can help to develop quality services.
The closing date for responses is Friday 10th January 2020.
