The Alexandria Library is a partner with Grow with Google, which makes tools and digital skills training easily accessible online for free. As a partner we also receive resources to teach digital skills to our community at the library.

Learn practical digital skills with Grow With Google's project-based online video curriculum. You can work at your own pace and there is no charge for any of the programs. Classes are suitable for teens and adults.

Exciting YA Contests at Alexandria Library
Are you in grades 6 through 12 and love to write? The Teen Writing Contest is a "free write" or open-ended contest, which means there are no writing guidelines. Entrants must be in middle school or high school (grades 6-12) to be eligible to win. You can write about any topic in any format. Deadline to enter contest is January 31, 2019. For questions about the contest, please email iwest@alexlibraryva.org.

Are you in grades 6 through 12 and love art? The Teen Art Contest is a self-expressive, visual art contest for painters, drawers, graphic artists, and photographers. All awards will be showcased at the Torpedo Factory Art Center.

Entrants must be in middle school or high school (grades 6-12) to be eligible to win. Pieces can be dropped off at any Alexandria Library location from February 1-9. For questions about the contest, please email iwest@alexlibraryva.org.
