EL PASO, Texas — Holiday travelers won’t encounter any new road closures as part of the I-10 Connect Project during the week of Thanksgiving. However, many on-going traffic impacts, including the long-term detour of ramps from Interstate 10 to Juárez and lane shifts on I-10 under US 54, will remain in place. Overnight and short-term closures will be suspended until Monday, December 2.
Also, a complete closure of US 54 between I-10 and Loop 375, previously scheduled for the morning of Sunday, November 24, has been cancelled.

The following long-term closures will continue without interruption:
- Ramps F and G, which connect I-10 to Juárez at the Spaghetti Bowl, remain detoured through northbound US 54 to Pershing Drive until further notice.
- Ramp T, which connects Gateway Boulevard North to northbound US 54 north of US 62 (Paisano Drive), remains closed until further notice.
- Both turnarounds under US 54 at US 62 (Paisano Drive) remain closed until further notice.
- Intermittent lane closures will be in place on US 54 between Loop 375 and Spur 601.
- Intermittent lane closures will be in place on Gateway Boulevard East between Piedras Street and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
- Lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) at US 54 until further notice.
- Lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound US 62 (Paisano Drive) between I-110 and US 54 until further notice.
- Lane closures will be in place on Ramp D, which connects southbound US 54 to eastbound I-10 until further notice.
- Lane closures will be in place on Gateway Boulevard South between Findley Avenue and US 62 (Paisano Drive) until further notice.
The following on-going intermittent closures will resume on Monday, December 2:
- Intermittent closures of the onramp which connects Gateway Boulevard East to eastbound I-10 at Loop 478 (Copia Street).
- Intermittent closures on Gateway Boulevard East between Piedras Street and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
- Intermittent closures on Gateway Boulevard West between Boone Street and Palm Street.
- Intermittent closures of Durazno Avenue, Rosa Avenue and Uva Street.
- Intermittent lane closures on Ramp H which connects eastbound I-10 to northbound US 54.
Onramp and offramp closures may begin up to one hour earlier than stated times.
All information is subject to change based upon weather and field conditions.

- Onramp from Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 north of Pershing Drive will be closed to all traffic.
- DETOUR: Continue on Gateway South, enter US 54 south of Pershing.
Crews will be working on foundations of an overhead sign structure.

Monday, December 2, through Thursday, December 5
Nightly from 9pm to 5am
- SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) will be closed to all traffic under US 54.
- DETOURS: Westbound traffic will continue on US 62 (Paisano Drive) and turn right on Loop 478 (Copia Street) to Alameda. Eastbound traffic will turn left on Loop 478 (Copia Street), right on Gateway Boulevard East and right on Raynolds Street.
Crews will be working on columns for a new ramp.

Non-stop closure
- Ramp E which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 at Yandell Drive will be closed to all traffic.
- DETOUR: Enter southbound US 54 south of Pershing Drive.
Crews will be completing electrical work.

Monday, December 2, through Saturday, December 7
Daily from 9am to 4pm
- Boone Street will be closed to all traffic between Yandell Drive and Gateway Boulevard West.
Crews will be removing a crane.

Tuesday, December 3, from 9pm to 5am
- US 54 will be reduced to a single southbound lane between Spur 601 and Pershing Drive.
- Onramp from Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 at Cassidy Road will be closed to all traffic.
- DETOUR: Continue on Gateway South, enter southbound US 54 at Pershing Drive.
Crews will be drilling shafts for an overhead sign structure.

About the I-10 Connect Project
The I-10 Connect project is at the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 54 in El Paso County. The project extends from I-10 to Loop 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway) and provides access to the Bridge of the Americas (BOTA) via I-110. The $96 million project includes the construction of four new direct connectors, a full reconstruction of the I-110/US 62 (Paisano Drive) interchange, and removes exit ramps from US 62 to I-110.
I-10 Connect will improve connectivity between I-10 and Loop 375, also providing an alternate route to I-10. It started February 19, 2019, and is expected to be complete in less than three years.

EL PASO, Texas — No hay nuevos cierres con respecto al Proyecto I-10 Connect el fin de semana de Thanksgiving. Permanecen cerradas las rampas de I-10 hacia Cd. - DESVIACIONES: El tráfico hacia el Oeste continua en US 62 (Paisano Drive) y dobla a la derecha en Circuito 478 (Copia Street) hacia Alameda. El tráfico hacia el Este dobla a la izquierda en Circuito 478 (Copia Street), derecha en Gateway Boulevard Este y derecha en Calle Raynolds.
Cuadrillas trabajan en columnas para una nueva rampa.

SOBRE I-10 CONNECT
El Proyecto "I-10 Connect" se encuentra en la intersección de la autopista interestatal I-10 y la carretera US 54 en el Condado de El Paso. El proyecto se extiende del I-10 al Circuito 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway). El proyecto da acceso al Puente Internacional de las Américas (BOTA por sus siglas en inglés) vía la autopista interestatal I-110. El proyecto de $96 millones incluye la construcción de cuatro puentes interconectores, una reconstrucción completa de la intersección I-110/US 62 (Paisano Drive), y remueve las rampas de salida del US 62 al I-110. La intención de este proyecto es facilitar a los automovilistas el usar el Circuito 375 como ruta alterna al I-10. El proyecto I-10 Connect inició su obra el 19 de febrero de 2019, y se estima que concluya en menos de tres años.
