News from KTH Live-In Lab

Hello!

Great things are happening in Live-In Lab. We are now doubling the team, welcome project manager Safira Monteiro!

It has been a struggle to handle everything from communication and building operation to funding, applications and research and development. But from now on we are better equipped to engage in all interesting R&D projects that uses and want to use Live-in Lab in their research. This autumn has been one of co-creation. In October we visited MIT and Harvard to learn about their Living Lab activities, and identify areas of mutual interest. In November, we initiated a workshop related to impact from R&D performed in Living Labs, together with HSB Living Lab, TU Delft, AMS Institute and MIT, read more about that below. Another area started this autumn is data sharing. We have started to investigate a KTH BigDataBase in order to enable data sharing and cross-disciplinary R&D and education.

Wish you all a white and cold December with lots of snow! (super-subjective comment, I know)

Cheers// Jonas Anund Vogel & Safira Monteiro

– KTH is the perfect place for tech-enthusiast like me, it's such an innovative environment. Now, I want to design and build for good. More concretely, my future job will consist of understanding needs from the user perspective through exchanges with them. Living in KTH Live-In Lab allows me to be in the skin of that tester that I will interview.
