As we wrap up the semester and go into the last few weeks of fall, we are going to be delving into the important topics of diversity and inclusion around campus.
We got the wonderful opportunity to speak with a few faculty members about their involvement within the realm of diversity and inclusion on the Georgia Tech campus. Click the links below to learn more.
On November 21, staff from across the College participated in the 3rd annual CoE Staff Engagement Day. Staff were able to discuss issues and learn about recent staff engagement activities and information about COESCAC programming in 2020. Many thanks to the COESCAC team, CoE school chairs and Institute guests Laura Pusateri, Byron Fitch, and Dr. Beth Cabrera for making the day a huge success! The day concluded with the presentation of the Culture Champion award to Lisa Cox (ISyE). Check out our Flickr album of the event.
CRLT Players
Last month Georgia Tech welcomed the University of Michigan’s nationally renowned CRLT Theatre Players for a two-part performance of "Moving the Needle." This interactive event opened up conversations about diversity and inclusive learning environments on campus, including shifting the conversation around sexual harassment and enacting one's personal responsibility. More than 150 members of the campus community attended. A third session was held for more than 60 campus leaders on "Creating a Climate Resistant to Sexual Harassment."

Five Minutes Matter
Are you looking to increase your happiness? Try this 5 minute daily happiness exercise:
Every evening, reflect on the day.
Identify three things that went well for you (or brought you joy during the day, no matter how large or small).
Write them down or share with someone close to you.
Try this every day for a week or once a week for six weeks.
