Creating a Community of Generosity

Dear Flagstaff (and nearby) Practitioners,

We are fortunate to have a thriving and engaged Sangha in Flagstaff with a shared commitment to a spiritual path and the practice of dana (generosity). This practice of dana shows up in our actions as well as in monetary contributions that allow what we offer to be available to everyone, regardless of financial means. One way we can maintain this wonderful way of operating is by taking the opportunity to contribute to this shared vision.

Currently, we provide weekly offerings such as community sits and study groups as well as multiple retreats throughout the year on a donation only basis. Through your financial support, we hope to expand our weekly offerings, increase the number of retreats throughout the year, and potentially offer longer retreats. Longer residential retreats can provide a wonderful enrichment to our daily practice.

It is a custom in many communities to present an opportunity to practice financial generosity at this time of year. We ask that you consider the benefits you have experienced and what you would like to support in our community as you offer what you are able.

We are deeply grateful to those who have donated in the past and have made FIMC possible all of these years. Please consider renewing your monthly pledge or offering a one-time donation.

Thank you for considering supporting FIMC through a financial donation. Gifts to FIMC are tax deductible and can be made on our Donation Page.

We would like to close by sharing a quote from the guiding teacher of the Mountain Hermitage in Taos, NM.

“All the compassionate and constructive acts that we create produce a ripple effect of beneficial action that will reverberate throughout the world. Thank you for all you do. Be assured that the rippling reflections of your generosity will be felt in the lives of all we will serve in the year ahead.”
~Marcia Rose

Warm wishes for a happy and healthy new year!
