Ideas That Change The World

It has been a really exciting month at St Katharine's. It has been great to have time to get to know more of the local community, our staff and many of the organisations who have been our guests. The Foundation seems to be a place where remarkable organisations come that  do work that can help change the world. I learned this week that the Living Wage Foundation had its genesis here, when CitizensUK came to Limehouse in 2001 to work out what was the most pressing issue facing people in London. The low wage culture had become a millstone around people's necks and the vision of a Living Wage that enabled people to have the resources to live and not just exist, was born. St Katharine's is pleased that we can be a Living Wage employer and are delighted that this movement started on our site. This month, we have been pleased to welcome the board and senior management of Christian Aid as well as development teams from the Red Cross. All doing amazing work across the world. As we prepare for the next decade, we can all reflect on how we are using all that we have been given to make the best contribution we can to seeing the world become a better place.

A Royal Visit to RFSK

The Tower Project is a community based voluntary sector organisation and award-winning service provider for children and adults with a learning disability, sensory disability, autism, physical disability or health related issue.
