Life Groups at Rock Harbor
We would not want you taking a boat from the harbor out into the ocean to fish alone (although I know that many people do), and we don't want you living life alone either. Our "Small Groups" will be called "Life Groups" because we to draw the focus on having groups that give life and share life together.
The Bible does not demand “house churches.” But there is an undeniable beauty in church members meeting publicly as well as in homes (Acts 20:20; Rom. 16:5). Christ’s followers break bread together as a united family in the Eucharist and as smaller groups around tables where common life happens (Acts 2:46–47).
A unique aspect for Rock Harbor is that some of the groups we are promoting take place at other churches, most have people coming from multiple churches, and yet some will directly engage with the sermon from the Sunday before at Rock Harbor. We will continue to define what the ministry of Life Groups will be at Rock Harbor, but we don't want to wait to give everyone an opportunity to join others in reading the Word of God, praying together, caring for each other and yes sharing life together.
NOTE: Some of the groups will be taking a break during the Christmas Seasons...so please contact the leader before attending.

Tuesdays
- 1st Things 1st
- When: 9:00 am
- Who: Moms of All Seasons
- What: Bring your coffee & Bible for a time of bible study, prayer & fellowship
- Where: Advent Lutheran Grace Preschool (1805 Oak St., Melbourne Beach)
- Women’s Life Group
- When: 6:00 pm fellowship begins…6:30 pm bible study begins
- Who: All Ladies
- What: Going through different Bible Studies by leaders such as Priscilla Shirer…you’ll be able to do some reading and question answering before so that you can come ready to share.
- Where: The Apsey Home (2018 S. River Rd., Melbourne Beach)
Wednesdays
- Pot-Luck, Praise, Prayer
- When: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, every Wednesday
- NOTE: This group will start meeting again on 1/15/19
- Who: This is a Family Friendly Group Open to Anyone
- What: A Potluck starts the night followed by praise, sharing & prayer.
- Where: The Sanders Home (400 Lakeview Dr, Melbourne Beach)
- Women's Bible Study
- When: Wednesday Mornings
- NOTE: This group will start again in the new year.
- Who: All Ladies
- What: A Bible Study for all ladies to be taught, share and read God's Word.
- Where: 1st Baptist Church (170 Washington Ave, Indialantic, FL 32903)
Thursdays
- Men’s Life Group
- When: 6:30 pm
- Who: All Men
- What: This Bible Study goes through Tony Dungy’s men’s devotional “Uncommon.” Great time to share life and study God’s Word together.
- Where: The Harris Home (471 E Riviera Blvd, Indialantic)
- Rock Harbor Life Group
- When: 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, every 1st & 3rd Thursday
- Who: All Adults
- What: This group will use the devotional from the previous sermons to discuss the Bible & life together.
- Where: The Apsey Home (2018 S. River Rd., Melbourne Beach)

- Pastor Kevin is looking to lead a group that is open to all men and even young men starting with boys in Kindergarten.

- The purpose of this group is to meet & advertise outside of the church for a group focused on creating a safe space for people to explore Christianity that have little previous study of the faith or the Bible.

- I preached one Sunday on this and this is our discipleship pathway to get people to know what we believe and how they can use their gifts to be a part of the kingdom of God.
- Freedom - https://freedom.churchofthehighlands.com/
- "Freedom" which can a detour from What's Next for some people who identify they have something (drugs, alcohol, porn, lying, codependency, anger, anxiety, etc.) they need to overcome. It isn't as comprehensive as Celebrate Recovery but reaches many people to find freedom in Jesus.
