The ground is hard with frost, icy mists float in the morning skies and Christmas lights are brightening up the dark afternoons as we head to the shortest day on December 21st, the Winter Solstice.
Our workshops have now finished for 2019, it has been a brilliant year growing our creative community and helping lots of people revisit or discover a favourite craft. For those who missed out, we are delighted to be bringing back some of our popular workshops in 2020 such as Modern Calligraphy with Becca Cherry, Photography and Styling with Cathy Pyle, and Ceramics with Amanda Banham.
New for 2020, we are plotting a very exciting seasonal series of immersive workshops involving a creative make, gardening guidance and a delicious meal in a wonderful woodland venue with talented Garden Designer Mia Witham. We also look forward to welcoming Curly Carrot to run their brilliant Pinterest Workshop and are planning a new Sustainable Life workshop. It has also been a wonderful year seeing so many small businesses not only surviving, but thriving. We believe passionately in the power of collaboration over competition. Save the date for our next Kinship Gatherings on Feb 7th, bringing together creatives and small business owners/dreamers to seek/share advice and find ways to work together. CERAMIC WORKSHOP WITH AMANDA BANHAM Fri 31st January, 10-1pm at Duck Duck Goose Studios. Come and join talented Artist Amanda to create your own set of ceramic houses to take home.
In this workshop you can make your own little village of around 3 or 4 houses. Amanda will guide you through the house building process. You can add stamps and colours to your houses and make them as simple or intricate as you like.
