Hello from the Barnsley Assistive Technology Team!
As the end of the year rapidly approaches, we thought we'd send a quick update of the things that have caught our attention in the world of assitive technology!

Mouse control in iOS
Did you know that iPads and iPhones (with iOS13) now have the option for mouse control? This opens up a range of opportunities for those using assistive technology. There are lots more updates to the Accessibility Features Menu. Inclusive Technology have produced a helpful guide which you can view here.

Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Controller
Logitech now offer a range of solutions to those who wish to control and X box but can't use the standard controller. Some of our clients have been using it and loving it! Check out the adaptive gaming controller and range of switches here.

UK SLT Survey of Assessment and Management of Communication Difficulties for Children and Young People with Cerebral Palsy

Do you have children or young people with cerebral palsy aged under 25 on your caseload? Have you recently discharged a young person with cerebral palsy?  If you have, please join a national survey to tell researchers how children and young people’s communication difficulties are managed in the UK.

They will make the findings freely available to help plan services and to support research. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete and has been approved by Newcastle University.
Click here to access the survey.
