TGIF!

Hello and welcome to STB's Quarterly Report!  If you're new, I invite you to check out the archives.  If you're experienced, I recommend you to keep reading!  If you want me to shut up, scroll to the bottom of the e-mail and you'll find a link to report my account to MailChimp.  Something for everyone, am I right?

This fall I've been keeping busy teaching!  I have been lucky enough to instruct master classes (#SubstituteTeacherLife) in ballet at Ursinus College and modern twice at Bryn Mawr College!  I am continuing to teach intermediate and advanced ballet at First Position Dance Arts in Ardmore as well.  Please contact me with inquiries and opportunities... I am available for your business.

This year's Fringe Festival selected a new score by Leah Stein Dance Company and Asimina Chremos to be performed at LOVE Park in Philadelphia.  I performed in RISE: Relationship is Self-Existing alongside a good-sized cast in-and-around a fountain.  Sound familiar?
In November, The Naked Stark performed outdoors in Clark Park for Actor & The Leading Lady: Falling Up.  We had beautiful fall weather for all four of our shows featuring highly-physical dancing, live music, and audience participation!
I also improvise!  I performed in Mascher Space's final performance at 155 Swan Song Festival in a score by Curt Haworth.  I also had the opportunity to dance an hour-long solo for the Old City Festival.  Durational work in a context that allows the viewer to come-and-go at their leisure: #Goals.
Anne-Marie Mulgrew & Dancers Company finished our run of evening-length work Strange Dreams: 30 Years Later at Temple University in October, and we're back in the studio rehearsing for our concert in June!
Of course, I have a few projects in the works and performances before the end of the year.  I'll have a new "dance" video posted soon, and I have a slew of shows beginning... tomorrow!  Keep abreast of what I'm up to on my website.
Winter Spectacular - December 7th
I'll be premiering a new solo, Showa Sean, at Labyrinth Dance Company's end-of-the-year show at the Community Education Center!

Slurps'n'Chomps - December 14
stb x at will be presenting an evening of improvisation and set works for dance and percussion with artists in residence of Dr. Andy's new space in South Philly.  Slurps'n'Chomps in the form of wine and snacks will be provided!
Spiel Uhr - December 15
stb x at will then be performing Heaviness/Lightness, our collaboration with Lyons & Tigers.  This evening will also include work by Ellie Goudie-Averill and Beau Hancock and Group Motion.

Light Up The Dark - December 21
The Naked Stark is hosting a solstice-themed workshop that brings back ideas present in Katherine Kiefer Stark's Goodnight War and Falling Up.
This is all just to wish you happy holidays!

(And a plea to continue supporting the arts in whatever ways you are most comfortable.)

xoxo,
