Congratulations to Our 2019 Selkirk Bursary Recipient

WETT is pleased congratulate Colleen Cormier from Bathurst, NB. She is the recipient of our 2019 Selkirk Bursary.

Colleen has been working as an independent contractor/loss prevention specialist representing Afirm Solutions since May 2018, conducting residential and commercial inspections in the Atlantic Canada region. She has 8 years of prior experience as an Associate Insurance Adviser in P&C with the Co-operators General Insurance Company.

Her goal is to first achieve WETT certification as a system advisor and eventually as an installer and sweep. We are sure that Colleen will make the most of this opportunity and will be very successful in her pursuit of knowledge within the solid-fuel industry.

The purpose of the Selkirk Bursary is to provide financial assistance to a person seeking WETT certification as an installer, system advisor or sweep following the WETT path to certification.

The winner will have the course fees waived for:
  • the Code Compliance course, and
  • the Wood-burning Systems course, and
  • the SITE Basic Inspection course.
Thank you to all who applied. As always, it was a difficult decision.
A special thanks to Selkirk Canada for its continued support.
