Summer Day Camps- FREE Holiday Gift

Scouts, siblings and friends are welcome to sign up for 2020 Summer Day Camps! Signups opened on Black Friday.

Campers who have signed up and those who will sign up before December 8th, will receive a FREE T-shirt to open as a holiday gift!

The Spirit of Adventure Council hosts NINE weeks of Outdoor Skills Day Camp at New England Base Camp in Milton, MA and SEVEN weeks at 7 other satellite locations! All camps are open to boys and girls within each age group, so friends and siblings are welcome!

Each week, there are multiple camps offered at the Cub Scout level. Each week, New England Base Camp in Milton also runs Scout/Grades 6-12 level Day Camp.

This year, we are running camps at two BRAND NEW satellite locations: Day Camp in North Andover & STEM Camp in Lawrence!

Scout Shop Giving Tree

Now through Dec 16th, gift some gear to Scouts in need in your community by purchasing a gift from the Scout Shops’ Giving Tree. Give the gift of Scouting to a kid who could use parts to his/her Scout uniform but has difficulty affording it, or who is need of specific gear to enjoy the camping experience Scouting provides.

When you stop in to the Scout Shop to purchase advancement or holiday scouting gifts, you can also add a donation to the Giving Tree Gift Card, which will be used to purchase gear for Scouts who need assistance. 

If your family or if you know a family who is in need of assistance, let the Scout Shops know by sending an email to WoburnScoutShop@scouting.org with a contact name, phone number, the Scout's first name and last name initial, and what items they need. Be sure to include sizes if it includes uniform parts.

Stop by both the Woburn and Milton Scout Shops to give the gift of Scouting! 
Last Christmas, this troop from Roxbury received Eureka sleeping bags for when they go camping!

UMass Lowell Scout Night

UMass Lowell is hosting a Scout Night on Sunday, December 29th at 3pm for Cub Scouts as well as Troop-age Scouts! Each Scout will receive:

  • A ticket to a Division I Ice Hockey game 
  • Scout Night T-Shirt
  • Scout Night Patch
  • A chance to practice in River Hawks
  • Pinewood Derby Tournament
  • An opportunity to work on the requirements for the Skating Merit Badge (Scouts BSA)
Older Scouts
Take the same ice as the River Hawks for the opportunity work on the requirements for the Skating Merit Badge after the game at the Tsongas Center!

Cub Scouts
At the Tsongas Center, come watch the River Hawks Hockey game and then compete in the River Hawks Pinewood Derby for a chance to earn a ribbon for your Pack flag!
