Happy New Year from Healthy Women Houston

Healthy Women Houston aims to create and integrate layers of supports – health, behavioral, and social supports – around women of child-bearing age and especially women at higher risk of maternal morbidity and mortality within the targeted communities of South Central and Greater Fondren Southwest areas of Houston.

Healthy Women Houston starts with our Community Care Coordinators (C3s) who reside in the community and respectfully partner with their clients to identify and remove obstacles to health. These include access to high quality, personal medical and behavioral healthcare; resources to prevent and recover from substance abuse and intimate partner violence; and the means to address the foundations of poverty – food insecurity, education, housing, transportation, and employment.
