December 2019
Hi friends,

Thank you for making 2019 a great year in addressing food insecurity in the White Bear Area. The Food Shelf has seen increases in the participation of its core program - the Monthly Markets as we serve 52 new families each month. We have also seen a growth of 35% over last year in our Bonus Saturday as we make the Food Shelf more accessible to our community. As a result, we are serving over 1200 families and 800 students each month through our various programs. Wow!

Through 2019 the need in our community has increased and the Food Shelf has, in turn, increased its response. Unfortunately, our funding has not kept pace. So I would encourage you in this Holiday Season to join me in increasing your financial support of the White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf. Your donation is vital to growing and sustaining the support we offer our community.

Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays!

Volunteer Opportunities

Did you know that we sort, stock and distribute nearly 70,000 pounds of food each month?  And we use volunteers to help us! Stocker volunteers set up the market every day by unloading boxes, stocking shelves and making the market inviting for our neighbors.

Attend a volunteer orientation to learn more about becoming a Stocker Volunteer and the many other volunteer opportunities at the Food Shelf!
