Protect Your Vehicle This Winter
MPD District 4 reminds you to safe guard your vehicle this winter. Three steps you can take to protect your property are:

1) Keep your vehicle doors locked.
2) Keep items of value in your vehicle out of sight.
3) Do not leave your vehicle running and unattended.

With the cold weather it can be tempting to pre-warm your car, but it's even more convenient for someone else to drive off with your vehicle.

If you see suspicious activity, it's important to call the police so they can respond and so there's documentation of neighborhood issues.

Call 911 for emergencies and (414) 933-4444 (then, press 9) for non-emergencies. Your call can remain anonymous if you choose.
Milwaukee Crime Stoppers Launches
Milwaukee has a new resource in the fight against crime. Milwaukee Crime Stoppers provides a phone number and web tips to encourage citizens to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.  Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.  It's important to note the contacts with Crime Stoppers do not replace the need to call 911 in the event of an emergency, but it is an additional tool that citizens can use to communicate with local law enforcement.
