A NOTE FROM THE GUILD OFFICERS
I hope you all had a great holiday and received lots of fibery gifts. As we look ahead to the new year, we’ve got some fun stuff on deck. In January, we will be planning ahead for our participation at the Cumberland Fair in 2020. Contact Rachel Herald if you won’t be able to attend and want to provide some feedback or ideas to the discussion.
In February, we have our annual yarn swap. I don’t know why, but it feels like we just had one! The yarn swap is always a well attended great time. So start going through your stash and finding those skeins that could be more loved in another home.
We are also planning a new knit-along (KAL) to make the Butterfly / Papillon shawl by Marin Melchior. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/butterfly---papillon So, go ahead and purchase the pattern and some yarn. We will pick a start date at the January meeting.
Happy New Year!
Jenn

Dues
Dues are $20 per year. Our fiscal year restarts in September, so please bring your payment to an upcoming meeting if you'd like to renew. Your support will allow our group to add more classes, vendors, and field trips to our calendar. Please continue to spread the word about the guild to increase our membership, which will benefit us all! If you need more Guild business cards to distribute, ask one of the officers for more.

Guild KAL (Knit-a-Long or Knit Along or....)
Go to our Ravelry group thread for ideas for our next KAL. Current suggestions/discussions have included the Butterfly/Papillion shawl, Ranunculus socks, decorative holiday stars, and the Shift cowl. Here's the link, let us know your thoughts! Our last KAL (Long Shadows Shawl by ANKESTRiCK) was a big success.
If you aren't sure what a KAL is, here's a link to a KAL description from The Fibre Co.
