Greetings,
It has been a very good year for the Arts Council. We have had a sold-out performance series, outstanding exhibitions, and added guitar and string lessons. We have also installed a new lighting system for our lobby gallery space and acquire new padded chairs (thanks to a generous donation).
Before we begin our 2020 season we will be renovating the ceiling of our main venue (Thank you Iredell County). We have started having jazz jam sessions and continue with all our programs. We also have a newly designed logo and sign on our South Meeting Street entrance.
 
The generosity of our sponsors and patrons, who make it possible to offer quality cultural programing and enrich our community through the arts, is much appreciated.

Michael Zeigler
Stained Glass Show
Join us at this exhibition of renowned artist and teacher Michael Ziegler. He has been producing beautiful stained glass pieces since 1984, has won numerous awards, and his works can be found in national and international private collections. The show will open on Friday December 6 at 5:30PM and will be available until the 11 of the month.

Jazz Jam |December 19 | 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Hosted by Kyle Ketsdever and Shannon Rowan at the Iredell Arts Council.  Musicians and artists will get a chance to play classic tunes and progressions.  All levels of playing are welcomed and all genres of music!  Jazz Jam takes place every third Thursday of the month, 6pm to 9pm.  All instruments welcomed!

Programs & Announcements

Strings Lessons: Violin, Viola and beginning Cello.


We are very excited to offer string lessons from Lake Norman's Orchestra Conductor and Director of Langtree Charter  Academy Orchestra, Eduardo Cedeño. 
Any level - Any ages

Classes are held on Wednesdays between 4:00 and 7:00PM

Piano Lessons

The IAC continues to offer piano lessons with piano instructor, Donna Guy.  Ages 4 to adult. 30 & 60-minute lessons available.

Guitar Lessons

The IAC now offers guitar lessons. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced lessons available. Learn more about reading music, the caged system, scale modes, drop chords and much more.

Art Classes 

The IAC now offers private art lessons with licensed art teacher, Amanda Muncy Prevette. Now accepting new students!

Art Gallery Hours

The James Walker Gallery is open to the public during exhibitions:
Monday to Friday from  1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and by appointment

Looking for volunteer opportunities? The IAC seeks volunteers to provide gallery hours on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Contact mail@iredellartscouncil.org for more information.
