Welcome to the Castro Community Benefit District's first newsletter specifically for you... those who own property in the Castro Community Benefit District boundaries.

There is so much going on with the Castro CBD, we are working hard cleaning your property and maintaining a welcoming and vibrant district.

We're excited to let you know that our grant application for a Business Attraction & Retention program was funded! This grant will help us launch a new program targeting the challenge of commercial vacancies. We'll soon be working with property owners, brokers and merchants to attract new businesses to the district and to explore ways that we can help existing businesses thrive. We're excited about this new program and we will soon be reaching out to you with these new services.

This grant is just one example of the many ways the Castro CBD raises outside funds (non-assessment dollars), to create a welcoming and thriving district.

CBD RENEWAL

The Castro CBD is up for re-authorization or renewal. Renewal of the CBD is important. Renewal enables the Castro CBD to continue maintaining a clean and welcoming neighborhood.

As a property owner in the district, you will soon receive a packet in the mail from the Castro CBD. This packet contains a petition for you to sign and mail back to us. Please complete and send it back ASAP. To maintain sidewalk sweeping, steam cleaning, graffiti removal for YOUR Property, Please vote YES, sign the petition & mail it back immediately!
