It’s the “most wonderful time of the year”—and for us it’s definitely the busiest time of the year. Before we take a holiday break, we’re prepping for holiday parties with new recipes from our winter issue, taking part in #GivingTuesday, and hosting kids’ cooking classes. Whatever you celebrate this month, we hope it allows you to be surrounded by friends, family, and food. Happy holidays from our family to yours. We’ll see you in 2020!

Warmly,

ChopChop Family

#GivingTuesday
We’re participating in #GivingTuesday on December 3. On this day, instead of participating in the usual seasonal holiday shopping, individuals give to organizations they support. We’ll be using collected donations to distribute more magazines, hold additional cooking classes and events, and further spread our message of cooking together and eating real food. If you can help us support our mission, please donate. If you’re shopping on Cyber Monday (or the rest of the holiday season), you can help us by using Amazon Smile when making your purchase. Please designate us as your charity of choice so we can get a donation for every purchase you make. Thank you!

Holiday Recipes from Around the World
From Hanukkah Latkes to Mexican Ensalada de Nochebuena, we’ve got holiday recipes from all around the world. Sip on Warm Mulled Cider and look through our recipes for something to make as a family this season. Even if you’re not going on a holiday vacation, you can still take a trip around the world right in your kitchen.
ChopChop in Schools
We love hearing from families, schools, community centers, and more who are using ChopChop. This month we got an email from Green Magnet Elementary School with info and photos sharing how they made Fall Apple Crunch in their cooking club. The club also used the recipe to learn and review math skills. If you’re using ChopChop, let us know! Email info@chopchopfamIly.org so we can celebrate and share.
Give the Gift of ChopChop Family
Looking for the perfect present for everyone on your list? ChopChop Magazine makes a great gift for kids aged 5–12 and their families. Or get a grandparent, neighbor, or older adult in your life a subscription to Seasoned. Each quarter they’ll receive new recipes, games, and fun food facts. We currently have a holiday gift set offer.
Upcoming Classes
Our Belmont Test Kitchen is hosting some pre-holiday classes this month. In our Gifts from the Kitchen workshop (for grades 1–4 or 5–8), kids will make delicious food gifts to give to family and friends. Or sign up kids in grades 1–8 for a Homemade Pasta Cooking Workshop. A professional chef will teach them how to make pasta dough from scratch and create homemade pasta sauces. Sign up for classes now.
