Bookings Open - Free Diet and Mental Health Event: 20 February 2020
The Baw Baw Food Movement will be hosting a Diet and Mental Health Event on 20 February 2020 in Warragul.

What we eat every day plays a big role in our overall well-being.

This event will explore simple and practical tips to boost the mental health of adults and children through food. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and engage in group discussion.

The speaker will be Dr Tetyana Rocks. Tetyana is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Food & Mood Centre based at Deakin University. She is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with extensive experience in tertiary and professional education.

Bookings essential - click here to register.

Free Mental Health Training: Let us know if you're interested!
The Black Dog Institute has recently been successful in winning a philanthropic grant which will allow them to deliver free, accredited, mental health training to health professionals and the community over the next three years in rural and regional parts of Australia.

Regional Victoria is an area of focus and they are able deliver in-house training to teams of health professionals on a variety of topics ranging from depression, perinatal mood issues through to advanced training in suicide prevention.

Thanks to this grant, they are able to deliver in house training sessions for free (they’re normally $360 per person) to groups of up to 25 people. All training is interactive and evidence based using case studies and peer discussion as the drivers for learning. Contact the CWGPCP team if you would like to learn more about this exciting opportunity - please email leonie.riddle@lchs.com.au.
