SHASTA
LAND
TRUST
On Tuesday, December 3rd from 6am-8pm, we come together across the northstate to give to those non-profits that are near and dear to our hearts. Tomorrow, I invite you to give to the Shasta Land Trust and put your dollars to work locally

With your help, we can continue our work of getting people out onto the land, provide clean air and water through land conservation, and assist in bringing a better quality of life to those across northern California.

Like last year, you can plan in advance and schedule your donations now! This way you can guarantee your donation goes through without having to worry about any technical issues that may come up on the actual day of giving.

If you want to make your donation in person or just stop by to say hello, the Land Trust office will be open all day on Tuesday, November 27th from 8am-5pm with refreshments and coffee.

Please visit WWW.NORTHSTATEGIVES.ORG to donate!

2019 GIS Day
SLT staff celebrated GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day on November 13th where local folks involved in the GIS world discussed their important work. Shasta Land Trust gave a presentation on how GIS is an important tool for completing projects, strategic planning, assessing protected property health, and visual story telling.

GIS students from Shasta College have helped make maps and collect data through our internship program. Utilization of GIS helps to see the big picture and plan for the future!

Students For Environmental Action - Internship Opportunity
Through our internship program with local high schools and colleges, interns have the opportunity to explore work in land conservation, event management, marketing and communications, and fundraising. Students learn about our conservation mission and the benefits that our projects provide to the community.

We are preparing to welcome new interns starting in the new year. To become an intern with the Shasta Land Trust, students go through an application process and meet with both staff and board members. If you know a high school or college student interested in learning more about our internship program, please contact Kayla Finck at 530-241-7886.
