December at AWANA
We’ll be celebrating Christmas all month long at AWANA! On December 1, game time included our annual favorite - decorating 4 leaders like Christmas trees with lights, tinsel and all. On the Dec 8, we’ll highlight Jesus’ birth in a special way. December 15 will be our last AWANA night in 2019 and will include a special Christmas AWANA Store - in addition to fun things for the children, there will be gifts they can buy for the family and friends, and there will be a wrapping station, so the gifts can remain a surprise until Christmas morning. If you are available to help with the wrapping station, please join us.

Reminder: Christmas Fest is Coming, December 14
 Sponsored by the Capital Baptist Church's Children and Family Ministry, Christmas Fest will be a dazzling, family-friendly celebration of all things Christmas for kids of all ages on Saturday, December 14, from 11 am until 2 pm.
This year, our annual Manger Build at Capital Baptist Church (3504 Gallows Road, Annandale, Va.) has been expanded into an entire family Christmas event. Families are invited to this indoor festival which features inflatables, children’s crafts, dazzling lights, a balloon artist, and much more.
This event is free to the community and includes snacks for everyone. Be sure to bring your family, neighbors and friends to this great event! The sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas will be on full display with music, cookie decorating and many activities available for all. A photographer will be on hand to capture special memories in a live snow globe.

Winter Cancellation Policy and Procedures
If bad weather occurs on a Sunday, the Capital Baptist staff will decide by 3 pm if AWANA and other activities on the church’s campus will be cancelled.
All cancellations will be sent by email and/or text message to parents, so please check for a message after 3 pm for cancellation notices to find out if we will still have AWANA and Bible study. You can also call the church office at (703) 401-8483 for information.
