AFRICA PHOTOGRAPHIC AWARDS

CONGRATULATIONS TO HEIN WASCHEFORT WITH HIS OUTSTANDING WIN AS THE OVERALL PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE APA AWARDS THIS YEAR. ALSO TO OUR PSSA MEMBERS WHO ALSO DID VERY WELL IN THIS GREAT COMPETITION

COMPETITIONS

PSSA MONTHLY COMPETITIONS.
Senior Winner this month was Des Kleinelbst from Knysna Photographic Society. CONGRATS to both the club and to the author. There is not a competition in December but as a club you can enter 4 images in January, 2 Senior Winners and 2 Junior Winners.

Please as always remember the rules of these competitions. Please visit our web site to see all the images www.pssa.co.za. We are getting 180,000 visits to our website per year.

HONOURS IMAGE

Our Honours Magazine will be in the post within the next couple of days, please keep checking your post boxes for this very special Magazine.

From January we are priviledged to have Hein back on board as our Editor and next year you will start to receive your Image Magazine every quarter. The theme for the January Magazine is WATER and we asked as many of you to post your WATER CHALLENGES ON OUR FB PAGE. These have been coming in fast and furious with some really outstanding images. Please continue to do this until Sunday 8^th December.

FIAP NATURE BIENNIAL

Jill our 1^st Vice-President is still calling for entries for the FIAP NATURE BIENNIAL 2020 COMPETITION – Images taken at the Zimanga Hide as well as any similar low level hides in our SA environment. Please send to Jill as soon as possible HD size – jillsneesby@gmail.com

DPSSA (Vers)

DPSSA(Vers) Some further clarity on this honour – Initially it was assumed that someone who already had an EPSSA would not apply for any DPSSA award as the EPSSA is higher. This was not specified anywhere and a number of members who hold an EPSSA have applied for the DPSSA(Vers) as it recognizes versatility. These awards have been granted. The ruling therefore is that you can apply for a DPSSA(Vers) even if you already have an EPSSA. Both are listed after your name with the EPSSA being listed first

AUDIO VISUAL DIVISION

THE BATTON CHANGING HANDS – PSSA AUDIO VISUAL DIVISION
PSSA would like to thank Adri van Oudheusden for the years of dedication and energy she has put into administering the Audio Visual Division. Adri has been instrumental in keeping the AV workers in the Society up to date with the latest news locally and abroad and giving expert advice on matters related to AVs. Adri has done a great job in promoting AVs within the clubs and the Society.

Anne d’Oliveira will now head the Audio Visual Division, assisted by Jeff Morris. If anyone is interested in being involved with Audio Visual related work within the clubs or as individuals, Anne will be willing to discuss any matters with you and can be contacted via email at anned@annetd.co.za or 083 325 0478. Additionally to those who are already involved with Audio Visual salons, could they please forward their results to Anne to maintain the records for the division
