The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens is a unique and inspiring place for people of all ages to discover the beauty of the natural world and the important role it plays in our lives. Our stunning gardens, nature inspired educational programs and themed events help us create memorable experiences that connect people to nature.

Many of our programs and community partnerships create lasting impacts that can be felt throughout the Cedar Valley such as:

● Providing fresh fruit from our Master Gardener’s Orchard to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank

● Creating pollinator habitat and increasing the monarch population in our community with our new program, Cedar Valley Monarch Zones

● Hosting day camps during the summer for the Black Hawk County Iowa State Extension

● Serving as the location for the popular performances of Shakespeare in the Gardens with
actors from the Black Hawk Children’s Theatre and Waterloo Community Playhouse

But we need your help to keep the gardens growing and continue providing these important programs in our community.
The cost of growing and maintaining our 40 acres of gardens & prairies, as well as our buildings and equipment increases every year. The Cedar Valley Arboretum is a 501c(3) non-prot organization, funded entirely through the generosity and support of people like you in our community.
