    Happy New Year
    Well, another year has flown by --- they go by faster and faster every year.  This is just a quick note to remind you that we have Music Hall shows the next two Saturday evenings, to coincide with Guthrie's Victorian Walks.  Come and enjoy the many live Victorian window scenes around town beginning about 5:30, then join us for our stage concert at 7:30 featuring many of your favorite Christmas songs and a visit from the GHS Victorian Singers.  There is time to do both, however it might be advisable to call for reservations as our seating is slightly smaller than the previous Music Hall.
     I thought our Oklahoma International Bluegrass festival was a terrific success.  The weather was almost perfect, the crowds were happy, the musicians were amazing --- I guess we'll plan another! Next year's dates are October 1-3, so mark them down in your 2020 calendar.  I'm already working on another superb lineup for us.  It'll be can't-miss!
    Did I just mention 2020?!!! Seems like just a few years ago we were all worrying about computer and grid collapses when the century turned over to 2000!
     It is wonderful to have Jonathon Hunt so near that he can drop in often and join the guys on stage.  He is a teaching assistant at OSU while working on a Masters degree in math.  Perhaps we can encourage brother Andrew and his new bride Shannon, to relocate in this direction in the future.
      Our annual FiddleFest  is Saturday, February 15th. This is a very popular show -- often selling out. It might be a good idea to call ahead for reservations.  It's a wonderful opportunity to see and hear a stage full of fiddlers, young and old!   
Thanks to all of you who have visited our new Fiddle Shop and Music Hall.  We are blessed to have an abundance of friends like you.  Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year holiday!

Instruments at the Fiddle Shop
 
     We were able to come home from our "fiddle hunting trip" in May with a nice variety of violins, old and new.  Since our shop opened, instruments seem to walk in every week; guitars, banjos, mandolins, and basses and cellos.  If you're in the market for an instrument, I would invite you to stop in and check out what we have, or you can't live without.
MISC:  we have  tuners, straps, picks, strings, rosin, capos, pickups, chin rests, shoulder rests, pitch pipes, and books on how to play each instrument, in addition to DVDs and CDs of the band.
