Grants

Did you know that the Hogg PTA has a Grants Committee?  This is a committee of 8 parents and the Hogg MS Principal who review each grant that is submitted by a teacher or administrator for classroom supplies, field trips, and improvements to the school.  Because of your generous memberships and the successful auction, the Grants Committee was able to approve the following grants:
mirrors for the dance room,
graphing calculators for an entire grade level,
Hogg canopy tent and table cover (with Hogg MS graphics!), a washing machine and fridge, tools and various
maintenance items, more folding tables and chairs, pet food for all science pets, and agility training equipment.
Thank YOU Razorback families for your generous contributions.  And, sincerest thanks to the Grant Committee, chaired by Razorback parent, Tiffany Tyler, for all of your hard work this semester reviewing each grant proposal.  Meet Tiffany right here...

Tiffany Tyler, Grant Committee Chair

Hometown: Houston, Texas
Years in Houston: My whole life!
Children:  7th grader at Hogg and a 10th grader at Heights High School

Reason for serving on the PTA: I like serving on the Grant Committee because I want to help meet the needs of our staff and students in a hands-on way.
Fun Fact: The only class pet we have ever turned down hosting is a boa constrictor.
What do you most enjoy about this role of Grant Committee Chair? The thing I most enjoy about working on the Grant Committee is working with a group of people to deliver items that make a real difference to our school for both the short and the long term.  Big ticket items are important, but so are the small things that make our classrooms function better.  All of it gives every student at Hogg, and every staff member, the tools to be their best.

Standing Rules

We will vote on them during our next general PTA meeting on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. If you have any questions or concerns, please email president@hoggpta.org .
