On March 19, 2019, Krystle Banfield conducted a podium presentation alongside one of her physician partners at the Children's Hospital Association quality and safety conference 2019.  Her research found that “the traditional approach to redesigning health care has been one-sided. Teams of medical staff and administrators often decide what they “think” patients and families want. Using an innovative design concept known as CoDesign, Kaiser Permanente Roseville Women's and Children’s Center partnered with patients and families to redesign the patient care experience”.
