Lumen Print: Gloria Pannka - Mt Sonder, NT

If you didn't get to Sydney to see these beautiful Lumen Prints at The National 2019, they are now on exhibition in our Gallery.
A little background information about the show to tickle your fancy:
The camera-less lumen-print technique was a way to cite and expand upon Albert Namatjira’s likely relationship to the photographic medium. The process for the artists was to collect dry leaves and place on the photo paper. Other elements were added before placing a clear glass on top and leaving in direct sunlight. Once the time was up they then cleaned in chemicals and water and left to dry. The artists were then able to paint on the paper with watercolour.
We would like to thank AGNSW and the staff for their support throughout this project.
