Christmas is fast approaching and many congregations have many different ways of celebrating the season.
Once again this year there will be a "Special Christmas Services Edition" which will be emailed out on Friday 20th December.
I would love to be able to add a montage of photographs to this edition showing the many diverse ways that we have been celebrating the season in the lead up to Christmas.
During the last 6 weeks the newsletter has been filled with events from all corners of the Presbytery, from Gingerbread House nights, to Christmas Markets, Remembrance Services, Christmas Pageants and many more.
We have all been embracing the season and our communities with the Spirit of Christmas. Please share these memories with all of us.
Please send any photos to
news@sccpresbytery.org.au . Any photo that I receive up until the morning of the 19th December will be added to the montage that will feature in the Christmas Edition (20/12).

The edition on the 19th December will be the last for this year, and the first edition for 2020 will be on the 30th January, 2020 .
If you have any School Holiday Events during January that you wish to promote, I will need to receive them by Wednesday Morning 18th December.

We have been celebrating the start of new Placements in our Presbytery, the final induction for the year as follows:
Rev Peter Chung (previously from Carlingford UC) Induction at
Cherrybrook Uniting Church:

Friday 13 December 2019 7pm

The Presbytery is pleased to announce that one of our Exit Candidates, Liam Miller, has just received and accepted a call as the Northern Hub New Growth Minister, a newly created Ministry Position on the Central Coast.  Liam's Ordination will be from the Epping Congregation, where he started his Candidature.

Liam Miller's Ordination at Epping Uniting Church
Saturday 21 December 2019 2pm

Liam's Induction into this new Ministry Position will be held in early February, on the Central Coast.
KNOW THE SIGNS OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS
As we approach the holiday period, staff at Lifeline prepare for the influx of calls expected to be received to our 13 11 14 crisis line and 0477 13 11 14 text service over the festive season, when budgets, patience and tension can be further stretched/ raised to breaking point and feelings of loneliness and disconnection are exacerbated. So Christmas can be a challenging time.

If you or someone you know would benefit from gaining skills in supporting family, friends, neighbours or colleagues who may need extra support, then please share the following upcoming training workshop opportunities with them. Please share widely with your family, friends and wider network to promote these opportunities. All funds raised from training support our 13 11 14 telephone crisis support line (every call costs $27.96).
