  Prayer and Praise

December 2019

Come and Hear the Latest News
Please come and join us, 8am this Saturday, 7th December
Lakeshore Church, North Buderim

We pray that you will have a safe Christmas.

Jesus is the reason for this season and we thank

God for sending His son to this world for us all.
Please note:-
There will NOT be a Prayer and Praise meeting in January 2020.

We thank God for another amazing year.  We give thanks for the volunteers that have come and given of their time and experience, for the lives that were changed through medical treatment and care, the improvement and better quality of life for many people both young and old and those suffering with diabetes and high blood pressure.
We praise God that John, our local maintenance man has recovered enough to be back at work on light duties.  He continues to improve and will shortly be back to full health.
We pray for the health and safety of our staff over the Christmas season.  A recent episode of fish poisoning for some of our staff and their young children had then all laying very low for a few days.

Norine is having a baby in the new year, Netty has had some health concerns and there is measles spreading around the Pacific but has not yet reached Vanuatu.
Our Community Based Inclusive Development Team have given empowerment and support to over 500 people living with a disability plus their families and carers.

Ben is visiting next week to debrief the team and finalise the years reporting as the project comes to the end of the 12 month contract.

We have proposals in for funding this group next year.   What a great team.

Please pray that we can secure funding for this work to continue next year.
We thank God for the safe arrival of our container in Santo with next years supply of consumables.  We thank God for the donated items provided by many businesses, the dental and optical equipment donated and for the safe unloading of these items.

We give thanks that Rob visited Santo for a week recently and got our IT equipment cleaned up and adjusted.  Thanks to Rob with some help from the CoC Qld I.T. department, all equipment is running well.  Great job.
We are thankful for the recent rural visits Medical Santo conducted while we had a few extra volunteers.  Most rural communities have very limited medical services and our teams make a huge difference to their quality of life.
We thank God also for our partnership with Santo Rotary promoting awareness and diagnoses of Non Communicable Diseases.  Again this brings information and awareness to allow people to better manage their health and to live long lives.
We thank God for his guidance as we plan for the future development of Medical Santo

Please pray for
