As we approach the end of the year, we've been truly blessed with volunteers who believe in the work that we are called to do. Please continue to pray for our volunteers and the women waiting for us to reach them. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas season and reap your harvest.
We close out the year with the woman behind the words you read in your email and on social media. Madelene shares a story of how each of us has a calling that we can discover or completely miss.

"Writing the messaging for Grace Ministry of Helping Hands would not be possible without the strength of the Grace ladies, endearing team of volunteers, and God’s grace. More than five years ago, I was approached with an opportunity to assist Grace Ministry with their newsletters and social media. It was my season of “yes”, and I immediately accepted not knowing exactly the work that this amazing organization does. Women in the streets...prostitution…drugs…human trafficking. I thought to myself, what did I possibly know about women suffering in bondage, substance addiction, and the sex trade? For a minute I almost hesitated at this chance to share the message of these women.
The day came when I met the co-founders, Jan and Kathleen. It was lunch at Panera and the energy of both of these women was divine. I believe we clicked in that moment. They gave me a first-hand glimpse into their purpose and passion poured into Grace Ministry. These two women trusted me and welcomed me with open arms to take their work and deliver it to their volunteers, donors, and supporters. From attending Christmas cookie exchange events to speaking at their fundraiser to crafting the perfect post, I’ve been very blessed to be in the presence of empowering women who are guided by God's grace to change women's lives. It has in fact changed my life, too.
Grace Ministry’s mission is profound. The women they are reaching out to are experiencing the power of God’s grace. The best part is they start walking with God, go through the recovery program, and believe there is a better life ahead of them. They are so grateful to Grace Ministry of Helping Hands and I am rooting for them in each message I write."
