Little Ship Club of Canterbury

The Little Ship Club of Canterbury is a branch of Naval Point Club Lyttelton. We are a fun group of sailors, who gather on a regular basis to discuss articles of interest, listen to key note speakers and organising events both on and off the water related to our common involvement with the sea and those who sail on it. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in any of our events and activities.

Like Tuia 250 Update on Facebook

Just wanted to let you know that since my newsletter last night there has been an update:
Due to adverse weather conditions the ceremonial entry of the Tuia 250 flotilla has had to be cancelled. Spirit of New Zealand is approacing Whakaraupo however the traditional waka have been unable to depart Wellington for the voyage south. A contingency plan of flying the waka hourua crew down to take part in a ceremonial paddle from Naval Point around to Rapaki on Friday afternoon is now in place.

The public event's are still being held at Te Ana Marina on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December from 10am-3pm, which will provide an opportunity for the community to interact with the waka hourua crew as well as learn about the Tuia 250 kaupapa and celebrate our shared voyaging heritage.

Cheers
Viki
