When the 2019 riding session ended and the students left the riding arena with their families, they weren’t thinking about the disability that qualified them as a Shining Stars participant. They didn’t notice the limitations of a leg brace or wheel chair, nor their inability to speak or hear. The rider’s thoughts and feelings are likely those of joyful accomplishment. How rewarding it is to ride a beautiful gentle horse that instantly becomes a friend!
Riders and their families will remember the coaching of the faithful volunteers who quickly became their companions and encouragers. How awesome it is to be able to play a small role in the big plan God has for their lives. As we move forward into 2020, Shining Stars is filled with blessing and hope. With wise council, good stewardship, careful planning, and much prayer, we look forward to the great things God has in store for us.
Thank you for your generosity and constant support. May you experience the depth of God’s love for you as you celebrate the birth of our Savior this Christmas.

Fall Classes have come to a close and we would like to say thank you to all of our volunteers, instructors, donors, horses and families who have made this year possible. We have seen so many victories and we can't wait to see what God will do in a new season! We wish you all a Merry Christmas and if not before, we will see you in the New Year!

Christmas Fun at The Farm!
Come to Harvest Field Farm on Monday December 10 between 4-7pm to pick up your Pellman Cake orders. Enjoy the Christmas decorations, hot chocolate and have a photo taken with your favorite horse! Also welcome Amigo back to the herd as he returns home from college! Amigo will be selling Christmas Decorations (pictured below) for $15 and decorated horseshoes ($20) to help pay off his college board.

Opportunity to Learn About our Veterans Program: Stars and Stripes
Veterans will be meeting at the Shining Stars Indoor arena on January 13, 23, and February 25 from 6pm-7:30pm. If you are a veteran, or just want to learn more about the program, you are welcome to come out to meet the horses and participants. This is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the involvement of veterans in our program.

Silent Auction Success
Thank you to all who were involved in the 2019 Silent Auction and Dinner. It was a huge success and raised over $15,000 for Shining Stars! A special shout out to Rodney for being an outstanding and dependable volunteer. If he keeps it up we may need to get him a cot in the arena for next years classes!
Giving Spree
The Giving Spree was a success and a fun time with Patty Pinto! The event raised a total of $1.2 million! We will update you next year on how much of that money will be coming to Shining Stars!
