Bright Idea #1: Equity in Education: A Virtual Summit
Because our team recently wrapped up our Step In podcast series, we are on the lookout for ways to continue our self-work around diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Leading Equity Summit will be a terrific learning opportunity, and our team plans to participate. This summit is a "FREE online event designed to inform, improve, and inspire educators to ensure EQUITY at their schools." Follow Dr. Sheldon Eakins for more details about this event.

Bright Idea #2: iOS Shortcuts
If you have an iPad or iPhone, have you tried creating Apple Shortcuts? This article from Apple provides a bit of information about shortcuts, and if you use Siri, you already understand the gist. The Shortcuts app allows you to combine multiple steps across multiple apps and create task automations.
Want to learn more? This post shares 18 Shortcuts that you can tweak and try on your own device. Create your own automations, and work on ways to increase your productivity. (Here's the full Shortcuts guide from Apple.)

Bright Idea #3: Powerful Teaching
One buzzy topic for our team is understanding the learning sciences and how to truly make learning stick. Powerful Teaching is a book that provides research-based, classroom-tested strategies that can have a big impact on learning. There is a companion website, and the strategies are easy to understand and implement. In addition, Dr. Agarwal's website, retrievalpractice.org, issues one of our favorite weekly educational newsletters.
Both authors will also be guests during the upcoming Ditch Summit, which is another free virtual conference.
