Dress rehearsal is Dec 13th from 4:00 - 5:30 pm for Combo & Toddler classes
&
Dec. 14th from 12:30 - 6:30 pm for everyone else participating.
Please see the lobby bulletin board for your dancers scheduled time. 

Things are really happening at Dance 1 so here is a list to join in! :
 

- Dec. 4th: Pointe shoe fittings with Miss Josephine from 4:00 - 6:30 pm in Dance 2-Tu at Dance 1

- Dec 5th: North Branch Library reading with Redondo Ballet at 1:00 - 1:30 pm

- Dec. 6th: Cast Party for Winter Show Participants. Ages 5 and up. 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Dance 1
*Please bring a small snack to share*

- Dec. 7th: Festival of the Trees at Torrance Memorial Hospital. Show at 4:30 - 5:30 pm

- Dec. 13th: Del Amo Mall performance from 6:00 - 6:45 pm
Combo Dress Rehearsal for Winter Show at Dance 1 at 4:00 - 5:30 pm

- Dec. 14th: Winter Recital Dress Rehearsal for all other performers, at 12:30 - 6:30 pm at Dance 1

- Dec. 15th: Winter Recital at El Segundo High School at 1:30 and 4:00 pm

- Dec. 16th: Movement with Dance 1 at Redondo Main Branch Library 1:00 - 1:30 pm

- Dec. 31st: Knotts Berry Farm performance 2:00-2:30 pm. 

Remember to submit your "What dance means to me" entry for the Ann Johnston Honours Award !

Front desk will be taking written admissions and or video for the 2nd annual Ann Johnston Honours Award. This is open to all dancers at the studio. In a short form tell what dance means to you and how it effects your life. The recipient will be chosen by the teachers and the Dance 1 staff. The first honoree in 2018 was Annie Cushman! Any questions, please contact the front desk.

Hi Parents, 
This month we are preparing our dancers for a performance on the big stage.  This is great practice for those performing in this month's show and even those who are not.  We will be trimming back ballet shoe elastic and working on stage presence.  We are still having a lot of fun with our creative dance concepts when your dancers bring their great dance moves and we explore further using props or directed movement.  Last month we were working hard on learning our cramp rolls in tap and this month we will start Paradiddles with Combo 4 and older.  You can ask them about the firecrackers they have been learning in class as the month goes on.

We are looking forward to our great performances in the middle of the month and can't wait to show off all of our skills and hard work to you all.  Keep practicing or encouraging your dancers to practice at home.  All of the choreography can be found on www.dance1redondo.com/choreography.  Our goal for our students for all performances is to hopefully have a positive experience where they work as a team on stage and work individually on performing to their best ability, and overall increasing their confidence as they push through those butterflies.
