Thanks to everyone who came to our pop up shop in November. If you missed it there will be an opportunity to buy some Christmas bunting and handmade decorations in the Coffee Shop.

A new baker recently came forward, there was some Red Velvet cake one day but I didn't get the chance to try it - you've got to be quick!

Just a reminder about opening times for Coffee Shop over the Christmas and New Year Break.

Some activity groups continue until the end of term but please check with the group leader if you attend a class or session.

We'll have some more new activities in the New Year so keep an eye out for the information!

Knit and Natter group made the Christmas bunting which is for sale in Coffee Shop. The Knit and Natter group and some volunteers have also hand-made a selection of lovely Christmas decorations.

Pop in the Coffee Shop to see our Christmas tree and the decorations.

The cost of bunting is £8 for a length of 9 flags 2.1 meters (7ft). They can also be made to order, contact Lyn Rose on 07518 993467.

The Knit and Natter group meet at the Coffee Shop in term time on Tuesdays from 2pm to 4.30pm. They are a friendly group, ask Lyn Rose for more information. All proceeds go towards improvements at the Centre.

Activity Groups

The Tai Chi class is on Mondays 11.45 to 3pm. First session free, normally £7 per session.

Justine's Pilates Classes are held on Mondays from 5.15pm to 6.15pm and Tuesdays 5.45 to 6.45pm.

Booking is recommended, contact Justine tel 07484 850320. Classes are £6.50 to pay as you go, or book a 6 week block for £35.00. It's suitable for suitable for all levels and sexes, and minimum age of 16 years.

Phil's Fitness - Simple Circuits is on on Mondays at 9.30am. This class specialises in older age fitness activities to music including aerobic workouts, core balance and chair/mat stretches.

The cost is £5 per session. To book contact Phil as space is limited, tel 07783 027589.

Phil also runs the Wednesday morning class Gentle Activities for over 55's. There's no need to book this class, just turn up. The cost is £4 per session.

The activities are chair based using vive ball, bands and weights, become stronger and fitter, but most of all to have a laugh!

Reading group next meets on Monday, 9th December, from 10am to 11am in Coffee Shop. Come along and meet the group and have a chat over a brew. You are welcome to come and have a chat about the book even if you didn't have time to read it.

Thanks to Helen who has been running Zumba on Thursdays, she's off to pastures new and it's her last class on 5th December.

Don't leave it much longer to book tickets for the New Year's Eve Ceilidh!

The popular ceilidh band Jig-Run-Rig will be here for a great night to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

THIS EVENT IS NEARLY SOLD OUT!

There are just a few tickets left – in Coffee Shop, the Newsagents and there are now just a few left to buy online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/haltoncommunityassociation

Tickets are £14 for adults and children age 11 upwards.

There will be a bar, raffle and a Jacobs Join Supper – bring a plate of food to share.

Community News

On Thursday, 12th December is the General Election. The Centre will be used as a Polling Station. Please check with your group leader if you are not sure whether your regular class is going ahead.
