In honor of the land, we are on

Kwangomelhenna wuntschi Lennapeuhockink! N’mentschihhenna eli payan! — We greet you from the land of the Lenape!  We are glad because you have come.

During this time of gratitude, I want to take a moment and honor those who came before me and the land I am inhabiting. I think it is no coincidence that I and PEAC come from this place where the peace-loving Lenni-Lenape are called the "grandfathers" or "ancient ones" by many other tribes and are considered to be among the most ancient of the Northeastern Nations, spawning many of the tribes along the northeastern seaboard. They were known as warriors and diplomats, often keeping the peace and mediating disputes between their neighboring Native Nations and were admired for their hospitality and mediation skills.

I am honored to be here and I will continue to carry the spirit of the Lenni-Lenape with me everywhere I go!
So Grateful for YOU!

I am so humbled every day by the amazing support PEAC and I receive. We could not have made it this far without all of you! Without all the love, phone calls, emails, text messages, support, and encouragement. It's not always been easy but I know we can make it because we have absolutely everything we need right here in this amazing community. My heart swells with gratitude and love for each and every one of you.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Save the Date!

Next Tuesday is #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving. PEAC supporters have been instrumental in our work to ban and eliminate nuclear weapons worldwide.

This year we launched a new initiative to embrace a new generation of activists in our fight for human and planetary survival. Your gift on Giving Tuesday can make a HUGE difference to this fledgling youth effort that is about to take flight…

Our project, called Youth Empowerment to Prevent Extinction (YEPE), is a collaboration with the Nobel Prize-winning organization International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, IPPNW and their sister organization, New York Physicians for Social Responsibility. Our first major event is coming in 2020:  YEPE is playing a key role in planning the youth track for the World Conference to Abolish Nuclear Weapons; Resist and Reverse the Climate Crisis; For Social and Economic Justice. The conference will take place from April 24-26, 2020 at historic Riverside Church in New York, on the eve of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Review Conference.

This conference will educate hundreds of youth activists and focus attention on the twin existential threats of nuclear war and climate change. The youth activists will leave the conference with new information, realistic goals, and life-long connections to continue their work to combat these threats.

This conference cannot happen without your generous leadership! Your #GivingTuesday donation will go directly to providing transportation for youth from the Global South, lodging for low-income youth, speaking opportunities for youth presenters, and many more necessary factors to making this a successful and meaningful event for all.

How Can You Give?

It's simple! Mark your calendar now to give on Tuesday, December 3rd at https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/youth-empowerment-to-prevent-extinction/. Once you're on the Global Giving site, choose one of the donation options on the right-hand side of the page and fill out your payment information.

Your donation, no matter how big or small will make a world of difference! The more we raise, the more of $500K in matching funds we receive from Global Giving. Check out the bonuses below!

Can we count on you this #GivingTuesday to help infuse our movement to Save Life on Earth with a new generation of peace, disarmament, and environmental activists?
