THANK YOU for your patience! All National Centre for Farmer Health emails are now functioning. We look forward to hearing from you.

Australian rural communities are vulnerable to a wide range of challenging circumstances including social and geographic isolation, the impact of drought and other extreme climatic events and diminishing face-to-face services. This has an effect on the health and wellbeing of everyone involved.

The National Centre for Farmer Health have partnered with Lysn to improve access to mental health care across the rural farming regions of Australia through the use of a telehealth platform.

The Lysn platform gives rural men and women the ability to access services from their own home and arrange a one-on-one confidential session with a fully qualified Australian AHPRA approved Psychologist who understands the many factors of farming life and work that contribute to mental health challenges. Giving you—the most important farming asset—greater control over your wellbeing.

Murray River Jet Ski Marathon Team--raising funds for the NCFH Digital Storytelling Workshop!

The team and crew will be riding the length of the Murray by Jet Ski starting on December 7 at Albury NSW and finishing at Goolwa SA. Funds raised will support the Swan Hill Digital Storytelling Workshop for young people who have managed tough times.

We are looking for 10 enthusiastic young adults (aged 12-25) living in rural Victoria whose lives have been affected by personal challenges (for example: financial hardship, family farming challenges, natural disaster, challenges to physical, social and emotional wellbeing, etc.). This is a chance for you to creatively express the challenges you’ve navigated, what you learnt about yourself and what you would like others to learn from your story. You need to be comfortable using a computer, be willing to attend a 3-day workshop in Swan Hill during January 2020, and be passionate about telling your story to make a difference in your community.
